Dmitri smiled as you skipped around the kitchen. The place was filled with light as though very your presence was coaxing the sunlight to shine through the window. “Want some more coffee?” You asked, getting the pot out when he nodded.

You scrunched your face in concentration as you poured, the thing was pretty heavy and you didn’t want to drop it or spill boiling coffee on yourself. Dmitri poked the crease between your brows when you straightened up, not having wasted a single drop.

Slapping his hand away playfully, you set the coffee pot back onto the stove and watched as he continued reading the newspaper. He glanced up every now and then, catching your eye and grinning.

He simply couldn’t get over that adorable tendency you’d developed. You’d been routinely wearing his shirts ever since that first time, using them as pyjamas mostly and pairing them up with either your underwear or some shorts.

Either way you ended up showing off a lot of leg. “Dmitri?” His gaze softened as you came to sit on his lap, winding your arms around his neck. “Yes?” He answered, settling his hands on your waist. You rested your forehead against his for a moment, your expression thoughtful. “We need to change the sheets on the bed don’t we?”

He nodded once, a blush creeping up to his cheeks. “Yeah, we do.” Interlacing your fingers, you jumped off his lap, leaving him missing your warmth. “C’mon then!” You pulled him along to your bedroom, cracking your knuckles.

Smiling at your antics, he helped you pull the covers and sheet off the bed in one go. It wasn’t like you couldn’t do it by yourself, it was just more fun to do with him, as you often ended up with a pillow fight and feathers all over the place.

After tucking the snowy white sheet into place, Dmitri started stuffing the quilt into the quilt cover as you changed the pillow covers. Sitting in the middle of the mattress, you hummed to yourself as you plumped and played with pillows a bit more.

Dmitri smirked, holding the quilt out and stretching it between his arms. Then he snuck up on you, swaddling you in his soft embrace.

The quilt completely enveloped you and you squealed as he pushed you over and rolled you on your back. “I surrender!” You cried, holding your arms up as much as you could. Chuckling, he moved the quilt out of the way, so he had his arms over you, staring down from where he’d propped himself up.

Planting a kiss on your nose he sighed contentedly and cocked his head. “So what shall we do today?”

After shrugging your shoulders, you reached up to pepper his face with kisses. “As long as I can stay with you I don’t care.” His cheeks heated up and he hugged you tightly, rolling onto his back so you were leaning on his chest.

“That’s exactly what I wanted to say!”
