You stamped your feet, the cold freezing you. Damn, why did Canada have to be so damn cold! You muttered a string of curse words under your breath, rubbing your hands and shoulders for warmth.
Matthew hadn’t arrived yet, not that that was a problem; you always had the habit to be places ridiculously early.
So that was to be expected. You’d taken the bus, thinking that was okay to go to an nature park. But when you’d gotten off at the stop, a sign was boarded on the gates. “Closed for maintenance my arse.” You mumbled angrily, huddling into your coat.
The bus only came every two hours, so you thought you might as well stay there and go back to Matthew’s house and play video-games or something.
Though it was taking him rather long. Maybe that was just your frustration and the cold getting to you. And you couldn’t be angry at the quiet Canadian anyway, he was just too sweet and nice.
So that’s why, when he did arrive in his red car, you smiled at him and hugged him tightly when he came up to you. “I’m sorry I kept you waiting so long! I should have-“
You cut him off by placing a small kiss on his lips and you smiled, waiting for the blush to spread over his cheeks. “Mat, I’ve got good news and bad news. Which would you like to hear first?”
He frowned at seeing you shiver, and paused for a moment to wrap part of his long scarf around you. It meant the two of you had to stick close to together, but you wouldn’t complain about that. Holding his arm and gazing into his bespectacled eyes, you waited for his answer.
“....Bad news first.” You sighed, an exasperated look on your face. “Seems as though the park’s closed.” He sighed as well, he’d was looking forward to seeing all the animals with you. “....So what’s the good news?”
You grinned and kissed his nose. “I love you!”
*huggles and never lets go*
I love him so much~!
