Vince seemed to love you to pieces. He followed you everywhere, waiting for you to come home from school and took every opportunity to sit on you, whichever part was available, be it your lap, legs, shoulders or head. You enjoyed his attention though and in turn hugged him whenever you could.
Sometimes he’d even bump into your legs when you stopped to do something, just because he was so focused on following you.
But at that particular moment, he wasn’t there, something that made you slightly worried. “Don’t worry, he’ll just be asleep somewhere.” Dylan told you, trying to ease your nerves. “Yeah!” You agreed, sorting out the numerous packages and letters into piles.
“Hey, I wanted to ask you something.” You glanced up at the Welshman, as did he. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but..... you’re Blue, aren’t you?”
Gaping at him, you dropped the glitzy letter in your hands to the floor. Wh-whaa?
How-how did he-?!
“I see I’m right!” He chuckled at his success and your flabbergasted expression. “How di-di you-“
He tapped his ears. “I never forget a pitch of a voice. When we first met you, I recognised you from somewhere, but I couldn’t place it. So I ended up doing some research and that when I saw you. Well Blue really, but that was you.”
“That’s very impressive.” You murmured, running a hand through your hair nervously. “So do you want to talk about what happened or-“
“I’d rather not.” You admitted, your heart throbbing painfully. “Please don’t tell the others.” You pleaded, wanting to do that yourself.
He placed a hand on his heart. “I swear not to tell anyone.”
“Not to tell anyone what?” The two of you froze as you heard a smug voice. Well two of them in fact. “That (y/n) is Blue? We already knew that!”
You stared at the twins in shock. “How the hell did you find out?!”
The twins wiggled their eyebrows mischievously, placing a finger on their lips. “We’ll never tell~” they taunted in unison. They picked up their mail and started opening it at the table, comparing their amount of letters.
You sighed and picked up a pile of letters. “I’ll take them.” You said, your arms brimming with them as you stumbled upstairs. You dropped off several piles leaving them next to doors and knocking to tell them to get them.
Your last stop was Arthur and Peter’s room at the end of the corridor and you knocked on the door.
“I’m sorry love, but I can’t get up at the moment.” You heard Arthur’s muffled voice come from the other side. “I’m coming in.” You announced, pushing the door open.
What you saw next warmed your heart. Arthur blushed when he saw you smile adoringly at him, the cat snuggled up on his lap purring loudly as he scratched behind its ears.
“I understand.” You told him, setting the pile for him and Peter on desk he was sitting at.
You nodded and waved as you left the room, closing the door quietly behind you. Then you noticed the large amount of glitter stuck to your palms. Terrific!
Sidling into the bathroom, you washed all of the fairy dust from your hands, even spotting some on your face and in your hair. Why did they use so much of this stuff?!
Your string of curse words was cut short by Peter. “Hiya!” He said, hugging you as if he hadn’t seen you this morning at all. “Hi.” You grumbled back, getting some of the infernal stuff from under your fingernails.
“What were you and Dyl talking about before?” He asked innocently, tilting his head to the side. “That’s none of your business. Also Pete,” you glanced at him from the side,” you can drop the cute guy act around me.”
You turned to wipe your hands on the light blue towel that hung on the rack. Because of that you didn’t see Peter’s smile fading and his blue eyes darkening. “Is that so poppet?” A shiver ran down your spine due to his low tone, all joking having disappeared from it.
You spun around in time to see him pin you to the wall, trapping you between his arms. “Tell me what you were talking about right now.” Squeaking slightly in fear, you shrunk back against the wall. You hadn’t expected that other side of him to be so... intimidating.
“It’s about Blue isn’t it?” How where these guys able to pick up on that so fast?!
“About that you’re her and she’s you.”
“Quite.” You murmured, well what were you supposed to say in a case like this?
Suddenly you heard a scramble behind the door and Peter dropped his arms, allowing you to stick your head out into the hallway in time to see a door shut. The door to Allistor’s and Dylan’s room to be precise.
“ ‘bout time he realised.” You could have slapped the boy and you nearly did so, if not for someone grasping your wrist tightly.
“Hit him somewhere that’s not visible, his face is valuable so avoid that.”
“Artie!” Peter cried in outrage that his big brother would allow you to slap him at all. Arthur merely shrugged. “Well if she’s going to hit you, I might as well tell her where she should hit you.”
He let go of your wrist, but your flare of anger had subsided. For now.
Huffing, you pinched the bridge of your nose. “Want some tea love?” You smiled at Arthur’s offer and nodded curtly.
“That would be good.” The Brit smiled, the cat purring loudly in agreement in his arms. “C’mon then.”
Well, your secret was out.
