Blearily, you blinked your eyes open, the sleep disorientating you. The softness of the white sheets pulled around your bare body felt good and you sat up slowly, rubbing the kink in your neck. A moment of sleepiness later, your eyes widened.
Where was he?! The warmth that radiated from his body was still clinging to the bed sheets, so he couldn’t have gone long. Just as you were about to swing your legs out of bed, a noise comforted you. Whilst the sound of Francis’s humming of La Marseillaise, you lay back down, your hair fanning out over the pillow.
“Bonjour ma chérie!” He exclaimed, setting down two steaming mugs of coffee on the bedside table. “Isn’t it a beautiful day? I mean just look at that sky!” He said, flinging the curtains open for the morning sunlight to stream past.
The way he stood in front of the window, wearing only his rose-print boxers made him seem truly stunning. Even the blue sky he praised paled in comparison to his azure eyes. “Mon amour?”
He crawled back onto the bed next to you and held you in his arms. “You seem a bit out of it, are you okay?” His question was casual, but you couldn’t hear the worry that turned his voice lower. “I’m fine.”
With that he visually relaxed, his shoulders not as tense as they were previously. “Thank God.” He rested his chin on your head, using his fingers to comb through your hair. “You know, I sort of ‘ad a weird dream last night.”
His voice resounded in his chest as he spoke and you could hear his heartbeat against yours. “I was scared vhen I voke up.” He continued, burying his nose in your hair. “I dreamt you’d left me.” The crack in his sentence was what made you cling to him, as he was already doing to you.
“So I was so ‘appy when I found you beside me. I was so ‘appy that dream vas vrong.” He sent you a dazzling smile and kissed up your jaw. “Me too.” You muttered, tangling your hands in his silky blond locks.
“Tu sais, je t’adore.” He murmured, trailing butterfly kisses along your face, across your nose and down to your lips. “Je t’aime avec tout mon coeur.”
The crooked smile that crept onto your lips was the one that made him fall in love with you all that time ago and the laugh that bubbled past your mouth was music to his ears.
“Je t’aime aussi, Francis!”
Vraiment bien avec le francais aussi :>
